Best LLC Formation Services in Arizona

Arizona still makes most new LLCs buy newspaper space. You can opt out. The exemption follows your statutory agent's street address, not yours. Maricopa and Pima are exempt. The Commission publishes those formations free, in its own public notice database. The other thirteen counties run the notice in a local paper, three times.

That makes the agent a cost decision. Northwest says so on its own Arizona page. It tells founders its office sits in an exempt county. The page names Pima in one place and Phoenix, which is Maricopa, in another. Either one clears the rule. Anywhere else, ask which Arizona county the address is in before you pay. Arizona has no annual report for LLCs. Every guide reads that as zero maintenance. The Commission adopted anti fraud policies in May 2025. One of them ends that reading. It is the Attestation of Existence. Its online start was tied to the new filing portal. That portal replaced eCorp on 12 January 2026. Each January the Commission finds LLCs that have filed nothing for two years. It sends a notice to the statutory agent. Answering is one button. Ignore it for sixty days and dissolution starts. The status turns to pending inactive. That runs 120 days. Reinstatement costs $100. No annual report means no yearly reminder. That January notice is the only contact the state makes.

The running costs still compare well. Arizona charges no franchise tax and no annual report fee. California takes $800 a year from every LLC. Colorado charges $25 for its periodic report. What Arizona does not sell is anonymity. Member and manager names go on the public record. That sends some founders shopping for Wyoming. That is usually a mistake if you trade here. An out of state LLC doing business in Arizona registers as a foreign LLC anyway. Then you pay both states.

Speed is the other thing to ask about, and the fee is not the answer. File through the online form and upload nothing. Add the $35 expedite. The Commission approves it the day your agent accepts. Upload your own document and the same $35 buys 3 to 5 business days. Upload it on regular processing and you wait 15. Some services file through the form. Some upload their own paperwork. Only one route is same day.

If a date really matters, buy a guarantee. Next business day is $100. Same day is $200, if the document lands before 10am. Two hour service is $400. Those are promises, not estimates. The estimate is the Commission's own processing times table. On 3 September 2026 it showed 12 days for a regular new LLC filing, 6 days expedited and 1 day on the guaranteed tiers. The 15 days in the notice above is the standard the Commission publishes, the table is the live queue. When we first checked on 7 August 2026 the table was empty.

1. Publish your Notice of Formation within 60 days, if your statutory agent is outside Maricopa or Pima County. It runs three times, in a paper in the agent's county. Papers set their own rates. Prices vary a lot. Keep the affidavit. Arizona does not make you file it.
2. Get a Transaction Privilege Tax license. Selling goods or taxable services? Get it from the Arizona Department of Revenue. The base rate is 5.6%. Local rates stack on top. Registering is free. Do it before you collect anything.
3. Apply for an EIN from the IRS. It is free and takes minutes. You need it to open a bank account, hire anyone, or file federal returns.
4. Open a business bank account. Personal and company money must never mix. Arizona courts can pierce the corporate veil where funds are commingled. That undoes the reason you formed the LLC. Our walkthrough covers what to bring.
5. Check local licensing. Arizona has no general state business license. Phoenix, Tucson and Scottsdale each run their own rules.
6. Keep your statutory agent and principal address current. This is the one that bites here. The Attestation of Existence notice goes to the agent on file. Sixty days of silence starts dissolution.
7. Skip the BOI report. FinCEN exempted every company formed in the United States in March 2025. A final rule made that permanent on 14 August 2026. A domestic Arizona LLC files nothing. Only companies formed abroad still report. A letter asking for a fee to file one is a scam. FinCEN says so.

• Expedited processing, $35 on top of the $50 filing fee. Same day only if you file through the online form and upload nothing. Otherwise, 3 to 5 business days.
• Guaranteed accelerated service. Next business day is $100, same day is $200, two hours is $400. These are promises, not estimates. They are the only turnaround the state guarantees.
• Name reservation, $10. It holds a name for 120 days before you file.
• Certificate of Good Standing, $10. Banks and other states ask for it. It is never needed to form the company. A letter saying otherwise is a known Arizona scam.
• Changing your statutory agent, $5. Arizona is one of the cheapest states to leave an agent you regret.
• Reinstatement, $100, if the state dissolves your company. Anything else owed is on top.
